MeshXP Idaho West Wyoming and West Montana is compiled using 10 m resolution elevation models. MeshXP function is to add elvations points to the terrain to further increase elevations precision and a better shaped terrain.
Hydro Scenery have been also upgraded to be more precise with Nhd high res. data. This mesh can be used on its own or underneath photorealistic scenery. It use X-Plane 12 default Vectors ie roads, landlass. This is an X-Plane 12
terrain mesh. Coverage: Idaho; West Wyoming and West Montana. No decrease of frame rates. All MeshXP packages are designed to fit into each over to provide continuous coverage.
Installation:
Extract from zip file the folders: MeshXP_Id_wWy_wMt_XP12_Overlays and MeshXP_Id_wWy_wMt_XP12 into xplane custom scenery folder.
Edit beach textures size to fit your needs:
go to : X-Plane 12\Resources\default scenery\900 beaches
the file we need is: beach.bch (make a backup of original file first)
open beach.bch with a text editor program such as notepad or mac equivalent program:
look for : (is just on the top)
A
800
BEACH
BASE_TEX coastlines.png
# This defines the coord system we will use for the texture if we don't
# want to use fractions.
SCALE_X 1024
SCALE_Y 1024
# This is how many meters the whole tex is.
SIZE_X 3072
SIZE_Y 3072
change size of texture as:
SIZE_X 512
SIZE_Y 512
or you can change to your like; these are the size of beach textures.

Airports Surfaces after meshxp installation
In xplane12 as we speak we do not have a switch to flatten airports surfaces directly from
General settings panel; this is overcome by adding a simple flatten flag to each airport
it show bumps after mesh installation; some might need it some not; we can not add this
at our end as it will create confusion; as each simmers have their own needs and fly their
own packages; it far better you have control by adding a simple flatten flag into the
default apt.dat default file to any airport you need too;
This is how is done:
open the apt.dat file inside the X-Plane 12\Global Scenery\Global Airports\Earth nav data
Airports in apt.dat file can be searched by ICAO Code and their name; for example if you like to add the flatten flag to Seattle
KSEA Airport search for : KSEA Seattle
each airport have the head section as:
1 433 0 0 KSEA Seattle Tacoma Intl
1302 city Seattle
1302 country USA USA United States
1302 datum_lat 47.449888889
1302 datum_lon -122.311777778
1302 faa_code SEA
1302 gui_label 3D
1302 iata_code SEA
1302 icao_code KSEA
1302 region_code K1
1302 state Washington
1302 transition_alt 18000
1302 transition_level 18000
just add
1302 flatten 1
to make it like:
1 433 0 0 KSEA Seattle Tacoma Intl
1302 city Seattle
1302 country USA USA United States
1302 datum_lat 47.449888889
1302 datum_lon -122.311777778
1302 faa_code SEA
1302 gui_label 3D
1302 iata_code SEA
1302 icao_code KSEA
1302 region_code K1
1302 state Washington
1302 transition_alt 18000
1302 transition_level 18000
1302 flatten 1
close and save the file
Your airport will now be flat and ready to fly; If you like more sophisticated surface there are various programs to
edit each airport surfaces even with mesh installed to create airport runways profiles such as Muxp:

Scenery.packs.ini file
This file is the file that control the order of scenery loading priorities into xplane.
It is important you keep this file in order; and scenery are loaded in the right order:
the order is as follow; Top have priority of loading:
Airports
Overlays
Photorealistic scenery
Mesh scenery
Mesh must always load first into xplane; beacause of that it have to be below every other scenery listed in the scenery.packs.ini file; a
as xplane will always add new scenery listed at the top of the scenery.packs.ini listed scenery.
Example of scenery.packs.ini : this will keep MeshXP at the bottom of the scenery listed allowing other scenery to be
displayed above the base mesh. If mesh is not below all other scenery it will block 3d objects and airports to show in the sim.
